WASHINGTON –  The Georgetown University men's tennis team co-hosted the Veterans Day College Challenge with Army West Point this past weekend at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia. The Hoyas showed out well over the course of the three-day challenge against opponents from Army and the Air Force Academy, finishing with a 16-7 overall record in singles competition and 6-6 in doubles play. 

Junior Luke Ross, posted a 3-0 record, downing each opponent in two sets. Ross finished tied for the best record at the challenge. Freshman Kieran Foster continued his strong play, recording a 2-0 record in singles play and a 2-1 finish with partner Ian Witmer. Witmer had a memorable weekend coming back three times after losing his first sets. He ended with a 2-1 record, winning two of his three-set thrillers.

Harry Yang and Mark Militzer were effective as a tandem and in individual matches, posting a 2-1 record in their singles matches and 2-1 as a duo. Junior Connor Lee was slotted in as the Hoyas' top seed and he was impressive going 2-1; the best record amongst top seeds at the challenge.

Sophomore Andrew Rozanov was also 2-0, highlighted by a 6-0, 6-0 win against Jason Wild (Air Force). Junior Rohan Kamdar collected a 6-2, 6-3 win against Santiago Garcia (Air Force).
