WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team released its 2020 schedule, as announced by Head Coach Kevin Warne on Wednesday. The Hoyas host a slate that features seven home games at Cooper Field and three contests against teams that made the 2019 NCAA Championships.

Two exhibition dates, home against local foe Maryland and against both Penn and Navy in Annapolis, Maryland, serve as the Blue & Gray's final tune-ups before the season opener at Lafayette on February 8 in Easton, Pennsylvania. The opener is the first of two back-to-back road games to start the season as the Hoyas head up I-95 to take on defending America East champions UMBC in Catonsville, Maryland on February 15.

A three-game homestand closes out the month of February as Georgetown welcomes Fairfield, Mount St. Mary's and Bellarmine to the Hilltop. The Hoyas host the Stags on February 22, the Mountaineers on Tuesday, February 25 in midweek action and the Knights on February 29. Bellarmine is one of three opponents the Blue & Gray is facing for the first time in program history this season.

Following the homestand, the Hoyas hit the road for three-straight games beginning with a showdown against defending Colonial Athletic Association champions Towson on March 7. Georgetown follows that with its first ever meeting against North Carolina, facing the Tar Heels in Chapel Hill on March 14. The Hoyas close out the road trek with their BIG EAST opener against Marquette on March 21 in Milwaukee.

Another three-game home slate awaits the Blue & Gray as it welcomes Denver, Providence and Loyola to the Nation's Capital. The Hoyas take on the Pioneers on March 28, the Friars on April 4 and the Greyhounds on Tuesday, April 7. Loyola is the third and final GU opponent that qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season.

Consecutive league road games, sandwiched by a visit from Utah to D.C. for Senior Day, close out the regular season. Georgetown travels to the Main Line to face Villanova on April 11, hosts the Utes at Cooper Field on April 18 and hits the road one last time to battle St. John's in the Big Apple. The game against Utah is also a first for the Hoyas as well.

Georgetown went 13-5 last season, tying the record for wins in a campaign, and is coming off back-to-back BIG EAST Championships. The Hoyas return 30 letterwinners from last year.
