WASHINGTON – The No. 24 Georgetown University women's lacrosse squad will host Old Dominion University on Saturday afternoon at Cooper Field in the home finale. The opening draw is scheduled for 1 p.m.  The game will be broadcast live on Hoyavision with Monika Moore calling the action.  Live stats will be available at www.GUHoyas.com.  The Hoyas are currently 8-7 overall and 2-1 in BIG EAST Conference play.
 
On Wednesday, GU could not stop a second half comeback as Georgetown fell 17-8 to the No. 2 University of Maryland Terrapins at Cooper Field in the Hoyas' nonconference finale. Junior attacker Michaela Bruno (Garden City, N.Y. / Garden City) led the way with two goals, while senior attacker Taylor Gebhardt (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker) and junior attacker Emily Ehle (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / Christian Brothers Academy) managed a goal and two assists apiece.  Senior midfielder Francesca Whitehurst (Baltimore, Md. / Roland Park Country School) rounded out those with multiple points tallying a goal and an assist in the contest.
 
Georgetown was outshot 32-21, and the defense forced 14 Terp turnovers while giving up 18 of its own. On the draw, GU pulled in six draw controls to UM's 21.  Senior goalkeeper Haelle Chomo (Naples, Fla. / Barron Collier) notched seven saves in the contest.
 
Whitehurst and Gebhardt lead the team in scoring with 48 and 45 points, respectively.  Whitehurst has 26 goals and a squad-best 22 assists, while Gebhardt has managed 30 goals with 15 assists on the season. They are followed by senior attacker Morgan Ryan (Maplewood, N.J. / Oak Knoll School) in third with a team-high 34 goals, while Bruno is fourth with 21 goals to go along with 10 assists on the year.
 
Whitehurst has 50 draw controls and freshman midfielder Jordyn Sabourin (Catonsville, Md. / Notre Dame Prep) is second with 33.   Junior Noelle Peragine (Northport, N.Y. / Northport) has 17 caused turnovers and junior Katie Hudson (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y. / Cold Spring Harbor) has managed 16 for the year.  In goal, Chomo has played a majority of the minutes in the cage with 92 saves and a 10.73 goals-against average for the season.
 
The Monarchs are 3-12 overall and 0-3 in league play.  ODU's wins came over Winthrop (11-10), East Carolina (15-8) and Longwood (11-9). The squad is led by Glory Johnson who has 46 goals and four assists on the season for 50 points.  Sophia Richie is second with 22 points and two assists for 24 points on the year.  Rounding out the top three is Lilly Siskind who has scored 11 goals with 12 assists for 39 points.
 
The Hoyas are 0-1 all-time against the Monarchs.  Georgetown fell 8-4 on the road during the 1990 campaign.  This is ODU's first season in the BIG EAST Conference.
 
Saturday is also senior day as there will be a pregame ceremony honoring the eight members of the Class of 2019.
