         <description><![CDATA[The Georgetown men's cross country team took first place in the 14-team field today at the 2008 BIG EAST Cross Country Championship today at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y. Junior Andrew Bumbalough (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood Academy) won the individual race, posting a time of 23:55 in the men's 8,000-meter race and was the first of five Hoyas to finish in the top ten. The Villanova women won the team race while Hoya freshman Katie McCafferty (Convent Station, N.J./Oak Knoll) was the first to cross the finish line donning the blue and gray. She posted a time of 20:48 in the 6,000-meter race to finish eighth as the Georgetown women's team placed third of 16 teams.]]></description>
