Junior Andrew Bumbalough (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood Academy) was named the Mid-Atlantic Region Athlete of the Year after a stellar season that saw him win the individual titles at the Mid-Atlantic Cross Country Regional Championships and the BIG EAST Conference Championship; Bumbalough led the Hoyas to both team titles as well.]]></description>

Junior Andrew Bumbalough (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood Academy) won the individual race, posting a time of 23:55 in the men's 8,000-meter race and was the first of five Hoyas to finish in the top ten. The Villanova women won the team race while Hoya freshman Katie McCafferty (Convent Station, N.J./Oak Knoll) was the first to cross the finish line donning the blue and gray. She posted a time of 20:48 in the 6,000-meter race to finish eighth as the Georgetown women's team placed third of 16 teams.]]></description>
