Washington, D.C. - It was a heartbreaking weekend for your Hoyas on the road. After two tough losses this weekend in overtime, we returned on Tuesday to North Kehoe to play St. John's and win our last regular-season home game. Playing what felt like 10 games in 5 days weighed heavily on our legs and some players on our team got to play in some new positions. Courtney Kent, today's winning-goal scorer, played center striker today for one of the few times in her life and came away with a meaningful goal. Our home record stands at 9-1-1. Thanks to all those who have come out and supported us this season!

This weekend we spent over 10 hours on a bus together, but thankfully the freshmen provided some entertainment as we traveled from Morgantown, W.Va., to Pittsburgh. Each freshman prepared a performance of a song which they sung with the volume of their iPods turned all the way up so only we could hear their beautiful voices. My favorite of the day was Camille Trujillo's version of "Blue" by Eiffel 65, complete with choreography. When we got to Pittsburgh, we watched the men's soccer team beat the Panthers thanks in part to Jackie DesJardin and Alex Gargano's heckling of the Pitt goalkeeper.

This weekend we travel to two more exotic locations: Louisville, Ky., and Cincinnati, Ohio, where I will be spending my 22nd birthday. With two wins this weekend, we would host a BIG EAST Quarterfinal game at North Kehoe Field in front of you, the BIG EAST's best fans. Hope to see everyone next weekend!
