WASHINGTON - Georgetown University senior men's basketball player Jason Clark (Arlington, Va./Bishop O'Connell) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Clark helped the Hoyas to a pair of wins last week, as the team improved to 16-3 overall and 6-2 in the BIG EAST. Georgetown, second in the BIG EAST, is ranked No. 9 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll and No. 10 in the ESPN/USA Today Top 25 Coaches' poll.

Clark averaged 21.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 3.0 steals in an 83-75 win at DePaul last Tuesday and a 52-50 win at home over Rutgers on Saturday.

This is the second time this season that Clark has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor; the first came on Nov. 28 after he was named to the All-Tournament team at the Maui Invitational.

Against DePaul, Clark scored a career-high 31 points, hitting five three-pointers, grabbed five rebounds, had two assists and four steals.

In the win over DePaul, Clark scored 11 points, hitting 8-of-10 free throws, with five rebounds and two steals.

Clark leads the team in scoring with 15.9 points per game, which ranks 14th in the BIG EAST, ranks fourth on the team with 4.3 rebounds, leads the team with 2.0 steals (seventh in the BIG EAST), and is third on the team with 1.7 assists. He is second on the team in field goal percentage, connecting on 50.2 percent of his shots from the field.

Against conference opponents, Clark is averaging 15.7 points per game, which is 10th in the league, and he has hit 54.8 percent of his shots from the field, which ranks seventh in the league.

Georgetown is back in action this weekend, visiting Pittsburgh (11-9, 0-7) on Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Petersen Events Center.
