C&F Bank Day 3
The Georgetown University men's golf team shot a 19-over par 303 in the final round of play and finished in 19th place among 29 teams at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate, hosted by the College of William & Mary at the River Course at Kingsmill in Williamsburg, Va.
The Hoyas were in 10th place after the first day of play, on Sunday, but struggled in the final two rounds and finished with a 54-hole score of 51-over par 903.
Missouri topped the field with a score of 18-over par 870, with UNCG and Old Dominion tied for second place at 20-over par 872. Francis Marion finished in fourth (28-over par 880) and Radford finished in fifth at 30-over par 882.
Senior Taylor Hall (Roswell, Ga./Trinity Catholic) posted his third-straight round of 3-over par 74 and led the team, tying for 32nd place at 9-over par 222.
Freshman Greg Podufal (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) posted a 3-over par 74 in the final round and finished in a tie for 63rd place at 15-over par 228.
Senior Brian Dorfman (Greenwood Village, Colo./Cherry Creek), junior Curtis Loop (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) and sophomore Charlie vonArentschildt (Scottsdale, Ariz./Deerfield Academy) tied for 76th place at 17-over par 230. Dorfman shot a 7-over par 78 on Tuesday while Loop finished the tournament with a 6-over par 77 and VonArentschildt posted an 8-over par 79.
The Hoyas are back in action on Monday, April 2 and Tuesday, April 3 at the Villanova Invitational, being held at the White Manor Golf Club in Malvern, Pa.
