Georgetown Men's Basketball to Appear on CBS During NCAA Selection Sunday

WASHINGTON - The No. 5-ranked Georgetown University men's basketball team will host an NCAA Tournament Selection Show party at the Leo J. O'Donovan Dining Hall on campus on Sunday, March 17.

The selection show party is slated to begin at 4:30 p.m., with free admission, live music, food, a chance to meet the Hoyas and get autographs. The live show begins at 6 p.m. on CBS.

Georgetown will be among a group of teams that the CBS Network will air live during the selection show. Head Coach John Thompson III will be interviewed live on CBS between 5:30 and 6 p.m.

Thompson III and members of the team will be available for interviews following the announcement of the bracket.

Georgetown is 25-6 overall and advanced to the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament for the fifth time in nine seasons under Thompson III and the 21st time in program history. The Hoyas won the BIG EAST Regular Season title and earned the No. 1 seed in the BIG EAST Tournament.
