Freedman Lands on BIG EAST Honor Roll

WASHINGTON - For the fifth consecutive week a Georgetown University women's lacrosse player was selected to the BIG EAST Honor Roll. This week junior midfielder Kelyn Freedman (Newtown Square, Pa./Radnor) was honored, her second honor roll selection of the season.

Freedman posted career highs in goals and points during the Hoyas 15-8 victory at #12 Johns Hopkins. Freedman scored five goals and added an assist for six points against the Blue Jays. She also was credited with four draw controls and made all three of her free position shots.

At #3 North Carolina Freedman tallied one goal and had three draw controls in GU's 17-11 loss. She has scored at least one point in all seven of Georgetown's games.

For the week Freedman totaled six goals, one assist, seven draw controls and was 4-of-4 on free position shots.

The Hoyas host two straight conference foes this upcoming weekend. GU opens BIG EAST play on Friday, March 22, against Cincinnati at 4 p.m. on Multi-Sport Field. On Sunday, March 24, Georgetown takes on Louisville at 1 p.m.
