The Georgetown University men's golf team opens play at the 30th Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate at The Members Club at Four Streams on Monday morning. The Hoyas will be one of 12 squads competing in the 36-hole tournament at the par-71, 7,035 yard course in Beallsville, Md.
The Hoyas welcome DePaul, Gonzaga, Illinois State, Navy, Penn State, Saint Joseph's, Seattle, Temple, Toledo, Weber State and William & Mary for the two-day tournament.
The Georgetown Intercollegiate will be the Hoyas final fall tournament. The Blue & Gray have played in four previous tournaments, highlighted by a third place team finish at The U.S. Naval Academy Invite in early September and a sixth place finish at the Temple Invitational last weekend.
Freshman Cole Berman (Philadelphia, Pa./The Haverford School) has led Georgetown, winning the tournament at Navy and finishing eighth overall at Temple. Classmates Sam Madsen (Madison, Wis./Edgewood/Cardinal Gibbons (Fla.)) was the Hoyas top finisher at The Shoal Creek Invitational and The Firestone Invitational.
Freshman Jack Musgrave (Chesterton, Ind./Andrean), junior Raleigh Chapin (Doylestown, Pa./New Hope Solebury) and sophomore Austin Rendell (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) will round out the Blue & Gray's lineup.
