Georgetown Alums to Race at 2014 Senior World Rowing Championships

WASHINGTON - Former Georgetown rowers Henry Hoffstot (C'12) and Jack Carlson (C'09) will both represent the United States next week at the Senior World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam. The duo will race together in the coxed pair.

This will be Hoffstot's first appearance for the U.S. Senior National Team and Carlson's second. Carlson previously competed for the United States at the 2011 World Rowing Championships in Slovenia, finishing fifth in the lightweight eight. The two former Hoyas qualified for Amsterdam by winning the trials for the men's pair with coxswain in June, while competing for Penn AC.

Opening heats will take place on Monday with repechages, semifinals and finals taking place throughout the week. For more information and to follow the rowing championships, visit www.worldrowing.com.
