WASHINGTON - Georgetown University women's basketball freshman guard Dorothy Adomako (Midlothian, Va./Cosby) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday for the after a pair of tough road games for the Hoyas (4-23, 2-13 BIG EAST).
Adomako earns her first nod to the weekly honor roll after leading Georgetown with averages of 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in games against Seton Hall and St. John's.
Against Seton Hall on Friday the rookie totaled 18 points, five rebounds and three assists before tallying 16 points and five rebounds in a loss at St. John's after the team came back from a deficit to almost take the game.
Through 15 league games, Adomako ranks ninth among all league players in points (15.3) and eighth in rebounds (6.6).
This is Adomako's first honor roll award after earning five rookie of the week awards so far this season.
The Hoyas will host their final home game of the season on Friday against Creighton University. The game is scheduled to tip at 7 p.m. Live stats and a webcast featuring Ryan Sakamoto and Ben Gordon-Goldstein will be available at www.GUHoyas.com.
Friday will also be Georgetown's Play4Kay game. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to support breast cancer awareness as part of a nationwide event.
