Rob Sgarlata Football Camp June 6th Date Canceled

WASHINGTON - The Saturday, June 6 session of the Rob Sgarlata Hoya Football Camp has been canceled. Previously registered campers are eligible to attend the session scheduled for Saturday, July 18 at Multi-Sport Field on the campus of Georgetown University.

Sgarlata Hoya Football Camp is designed to teach, develop and improve skills for all football positions. The camp provides a contact free environment without pads and helmets so maximum learning and positive results will be achieved. Sgarlata's camp is open to boys entering grades 7-12 in the fall of 2015.

Georgetown football Head Coach Rob Sgarlata enters his second season at the helm of the program after spending 20 seasons on the Hilltop as an assistant coach and student-athlete. Sgarlata previously served as the Assistant Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator for eight seasons, helping guide the Hoyas to their best stretch since joining the Patriot League. GU possessed the league's top-ranked scoring defense in 2011, the second-ranked scoring defense in 2012, while again posting the second-best scoring defense in the league in 2014. During his tenure, Sgarlata has coached five All-Americans, 25 All-Patriot League selections and five All-ECAC selections with one player earning an NFL roster spot and five more being invited to training camps.

All campers will be instructed by each of the positional coaches on the Georgetown University football staff, as well as the Sports Performance staff. In compliance with NCAA regulations, the expense for Hoya Football Camp cannot be paid and/or sponsored by a third party. The camper's parents or legal guardians must make the payment. No third party payments will be accepted.
