WASHINGTON - Georgetown University senior women's soccer player Crystal Thomas (Elgin, Ill./Wheaton Academy/Notre Dame) was selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
The Hoyas split a pair of games last week, beating local rival George Washington, 4-1, on Thursday and following that up with a tough 2-1 loss to then-No. 12 Virginia Tech at home. Georgetown enters the weekend with a 4-3-0 overall record.
Thomas scored a pair of goals in the two games. She tallied a second-half score in the win over the Colonials and then followed that up with the game-tying goal against the Hokies.
A senior forward, she is third on the team in scoring with two goals and three assists for seven points.
Thomas missed all but one game last season after transferring from Notre Dame. She was an All-BIG EAST Second Team selection and a BIG EAST All-Rookie selection in 2012.
Georgetown plays its next four games on the road, starting this weekend with a pair of non-league contests. The Hoyas open the weekend on Friday, Sept. 18 at Central Florida (5:30 p.m.) and then close out the weekend on Sunday, Sept. 20 (11:30 a.m.) at Stetson.
