Georgetown Men's Golf to Compete in Windon Memorial Classic

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's golf team will begin play at the Windon Memorial Classic at the Lake Shore Country Club in Glencoe, Ill on Sunday, September 27. The Hoyas will play three rounds on the par-71, 6,844 yard course. Sunday's opening round begins at 9:30 a.m. EST

THE FIELD: The Hoyas will play two rounds on Sunday and the final round on Monday within a 14-team field, including: Indiana, Lamar, Loyola Chicago, Marquette, Michigan, North Texas, Northwestern, Ohio State, Princeton, Purdue, Southeastern Louisiana, Tulsa and UC Davis.

LAST TIME OUT: The Hoyas finished second overall, shooting a team score of 1-under par 283 at the Navy Fall Classic at the Naval Academy Golf Course. Sophomore Jack Musgrave (Chesterton, Ind./Andrean) and freshman Harrison Rhoades (Raleigh, N.C./Needham Broughton) tied for fifth overall, carding a 3-under par for the tournament. Sophomores Cole Berman (Philadelphia, Pa./The Haverford School) and Sam Madsen (Madison, Wis./Edgewood[Cardinal Gibbons]) also finished in the top-25 in GU's first outing of the season.

THE LINEUP: The Hoyas will use the same lineup at Lake Shore Country Club as they did to open the season at Navy with sophomores Berman, Madsen and Musgrave, who appeared in each of GU's 2014-15 tournaments. Freshmen Harrison Rhoades and Kevin Jackson will round out Georgetown's five.
