Hoyas Add 14 to 2016-17 Swimming & Diving Roster

WASHINGTON - Georgetown University Swimming and Diving Head Coach Jack Leavitt has announced the addition of 14 newcomers to the 2016-17 GU roster. The 14 student-athletes include eight on the women's squad and six on the men's side.

"This class is extremely talented and deep," Leavitt said. "From top to bottom they make our team better and we are excited to see them in a meet environment."

Was a four-year starter at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory, serving as team captain his senior year ... As a senior was named an All-American, first team all-state, all-region and all-district ... As a junior, he was also an all-state selection as well as his First Team All-District and all-region awards ... Holds his high school record in both the 50-yard freestyle and 100 freestyle ... Also competed for his club team Dad's Club Swim Team where he was a four-year starter ... Out of the pool he was twice an Academic All-American and an Eagle Scout where he was a recipient of the Eagle Scout Award.

Out of the pool was a National Merit Scholar Honorable Mention selection and a member of both the Garden Club and Service League of Boys.
