WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team (8-4, 0-2 BIG EAST) will face the Villanova University Wildcats (4-8, 0-2 BIG EAST) in a BIG EAST Conference matchup at The Pavilion on Wednesday. The opening tip is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network. This will be GU's first conference road game of the season.

On Friday, Georgetown fell, 84-77, to the Marquette University Golden Eagles at McDonough Arena. Four Hoyas scored in double figures as junior guard DiDi Burton (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore City College) led the way with a career-high 19 points and pulled down six rebounds. White and Adomako are the other two Hoyas averaging in double figures with 14.8 and 14.7 ppg, respectively. White has a team-high 42 steals on the year which ranks first in the conference and 16th in the country. Her 3.5 spg also lead the league and rank 11th in the nation. Adomako is pulling in 7.2 rpg to rank second on the squad.

The Hoyas are shooting 39.4 percent on the season, and hold a +2.6 advantage in rebounding over opponents. The team is also averaging 9.2 steals per game.

Villanova fell to the No. RV/22 DePaul Blue Demons by a score of 80-50 on Friday. Jannah Tucker led Villanova with 17 points on 6-of-16 shooting, including a 5-of-9 effort from three-point range. The five triples represent a career high. Kelly Jekot had eight points and a team-high nine rebounds, while senior forward Jordan Dillard added eight points.

Villanova is 2-4 at home this season. The Wildcats' last win was a 59-37 home victory over Lehigh on Dec. 5.

Georgetown is 20-39 all-time against the Wildcats, and 7-21 on the road. Last year, GU won at The Pavilion, 57-51, as White led the way with 20 points and 11 rebounds. In the last meeting, the Hoyas fell, 63-60, at McDonough Arena as the Wildcats used a late run to get the win. Adomako scored 24 in the game and White had 18.
