– The Georgetown University football team returns home to Cooper Field this weekend to begin a two-game homestand to close out the regular season, beginning with a matchup against Bucknell University on Saturday afternoon. Kickoff at Cooper Field is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. and the game can be watched live on the Patriot League Network and Facebook Watch. Saturday's game against the Bison will not be ticketed, however capacity at Cooper Field will be monitored. Fans are encouraged to arrive early in to ensure your admission to the game. Gates will open 60 minutes before kickoff.
The Hoyas (4-5, 3-1 Patriot League) are coming off their bye week last Saturday. In their most recent game, the Blue & Gray fell to then-No. 11/16 Colgate 38-0 in a battle of the final two unbeaten teams in the Patriot League. Gunther Johnson

(Columbus, Ohio / Gahanna Lincoln) finished with team highs with 16 rushing yards and 24 receiving yards. Blaise Brown
(New Orleans, La. / St. Augustine / Loomis Chaffee) was named Patriot League Honorable Mention as he finished with a career-high 15 tackles, including recording his 200th career tackle. Xavier Reddick
(Powder Springs, Ga. / McEachern) was also in double digits with 11 tackles while adding a sack and 2.5 tackles-for-loss.
Saturday will be the 31st meeting between the Hoyas and Bison, with Bucknell holding an 18-11-1 advantage in the series. Georgetown has dropped the last two matchups, but seven of GU's 11 victories in the series have come on the Hilltop. Last season, the Hoyas traveled to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and dropped the second-to-last game of the season 12-0. Johnson led the offense with 246 total yards of offense, rushing for a career-long 131 yards on 23 carries, and completing 11 passes for 79 yards. Wesley Bowers (Fort Washington, Md./Bishop McNamara) led the defense with a game-high 10 tackles.
Bucknell (1-8, 1-3 Patriot League) comes in on a four-game losing streak, most recently dropping a 45-17 decision to Lehigh last Saturday. The Bison are averaging 14.4 points per game, gaining 227.1 yards of total offense per game. Sophomore quarterback Logan Bitikofer is second in the Patriot League, averaging 175.0 passing yards per game. The defense is allowing 31.1 ppg and averages of 182.4 rushing yards and 242.0 yards through the air.
After Saturday's game, the Hoyas will remain home at Cooper Field to close out the regular season next weekend, hosting Holy Cross in a 12:30 p.m. contest on Saturday, Nov. 17. Georgetown will celebrate it's 17-member senior class in an on-field pregame Senior Day ceremony.
