Georgetown Baseball's Game at Coppin State Postponed

April 3, 2018

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University baseball team's game at Coppin State on Tuesday afternoon has been postponed because of inclement weather. A makeup date will be determined at a later time.

The Hoyas are scheduled to travel to play Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, Maryland on Wednesday. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m., and a link to live stats will be available at GUHoyas.com.

On Monday, freshman left-handed pitcher Jacob Grzebinski (Bellaire, Texas/Emery Weiner) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. He picked up his first career win, going 6.0 strong innings, on just 72 pitches, and allowing just one run in a win over Delaware State last Tuesday. He gave up only three hits and didn't walk a batter while striking out a career-best six, retiring 12-straight hitters at one point.

This is Grzebinski's first career weekly award, and the fourth honor roll selection for the Hoyas this season.

Following Wednesday's contest, the Hoyas will open BIG EAST Conference play with a three-game set against Xavier next weekend, April 6-8, at Shirley Povich Field. Live stats and a subscription-bases video stream will be available at GUHoyas.com.
