Men's Rowing Heads to Eastern Sprints

WASHINGTON - Georgetown University's men's rowing teams head to Worcester, Massachusetts on Sunday to compete in the 2018 Eastern Sprints. The Hoyas will field three lightweight eights and two heavyweight eight crews in the event.

The lightweight squad kicks off the regatta with the third varsity 8+ racing at 8:20 a.m. against Princeton, Navy, Harvard and Dartmouth. The varsity 8+ will race at 9:48 a.m. and the second varsity 8+ will compete at 10:48 a.m., both against Columbia, Harvard, Cornell and Dartmouth. Following the morning heats, the Hoyas will advance to either the petite or grand finals beginning at 2 p.m.

On the heavyweight side, the varsity 8+ takes to the water at 9:36 a.m. against Harvard, Northeastern, Wisconsin, Penn and Holy Cross. The second varsity 8+ races at 10:36 a.m. against Yale, Harvard, Wisconsin, Cornell and Holy Cross.
