Track & Field Garners All-America Honors Following NCAA Outdoor Championships

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University track & field team claimed three All-America honors and one honorable mention accolade from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). It was announced on Monday following the 2018 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held at historic Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene. The four honors were earned by four student-athletes in two events.

Amos Bartelsmeyer (St. Louis, Mo./St. Louis Country Day) and Nick Wareham (Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury) each picked up second team honors in the men's 1,500-meter run with Bartelsmeyer finishing ninth as he advanced to the finals for the first time in his career and Wareham placing 13th in the semifinals.

Michael Crozier (Arlington, Va./Gonzaga) placed 14th in the men's 10,000-meter finals to earn a nod to the second team, the first All-America accolade of his career. Additionally, Jonathan Green (Berlin, Mass./Saint John's School) picked up honorable mention honors in the men's 10,000-meter finals as he finished 18th in the race.
