Women's Rowing Lightweight Eight Places Fourth at IRA National Regatta

June 3, 2018

WASHINGTON - Georgetown University's women's rowing lightweight eight squad finished fourth overall at the 2018 Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Regatta on Sunday morning. The Hoyas posted a time of 7:24.563 to finish ahead of Harvard Radcliffe, MIT and Wisconsin.

Following the early morning racing, inclement weather and poor racing conditions wiped out the remainder of the day including Georgetown's lightweight four and lightweight double grand finals on Lake Mercer. Both squads did compete in an impromptu "Rogue IRA" at nearby Lake Carnegie, however, finishing fourth and fifth, respectively.
