Georgetown to Play at Syracuse on December 8

WASHINGTON –The Georgetown University's men's basketball team will play at Syracuse on December 8 during the 2018-19 season.  This is in conjunction with the four-year home-and-home series that began in the 2015-16 season.
This will be the 94th meeting overall between the Orange and the Hoyas with Syracuse leading the series 50-43. The Hoyas have won four of the last six meetings and six of the last 10. Last year, Syracuse won in overtime, 86-79, on December 16, 2017 at the Capital One Arena. Jessie Govan (Queens Village, N.Y./Wings Academy) led the Hoyas with a team-high 21 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Jagan Mosely (Marlboro, N.J./St. Anthony) came off the bench to contribute 20 points, tying a career high, to go along with five boards, three assists and two steals.
"There is nothing like the Georgetown-Syracuse rivalry," said Head Coach Patrick Ewing.  "Our game last year continued the tradition of being a heated battle with two great programs wanting to win."
The first meeting between the Hoyas and the Orange was on February 15, 1930.
