WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's openweight rowing team travels to Camden, New Jersey to compete in the 2022 Patriot League Rowing Championship on Friday, May 13. The Hoyas will participate in all three races at the championship regatta, sending a varsity 8+, second varsity 8+ and a varsity 4+ to the Cooper River. Each category will host two heats, with the top three finishers from each heat moving on to the Grand Final race in the afternoon. The bottom three finishers will race in the three-shell Petite Finals.

Nine schools make up this weekend's field of competition: Boston University, Bucknell, Colgate, Georgetown, Holy Cross, Lehigh, Loyola Maryland, MIT and Navy. The winning team receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Championships on May 27 in Sarasota, Florida.
 
Openweights at Patriot League Rowing Championship

• The varsity 4+ races first in Heat 1 at 8 a.m. on Friday. Georgetown is ranked as the #4 shell in the league.
• Georgetown's second varsity 8+ takes to the water as the #4 shell. The Hoyas will compete in Heat 1 at 8:30 a.m.
• The varsity 8+ is the last to race in the preliminary round. As the league's #2 shell, Georgetown competes as the highest-ranked seed in Heat 2 at 9:15 a.m.
