WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team is set to host the Clemson Tigers in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, November 15, at Capital One Arena. Tipoff is set for noon in the District.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- The 2025-26 season marks the third year under Head Coach Ed Cooley. In his second season, Cooley guided Georgetown to doubling its wins from the season before and finishing with an overall record of 18-16 and 8-12 in BIG EAST play. The squad earned a bid to the inaugural College Basketball Crown, advancing to the semifinals before falling to eventual Crown Champions Nebraska.
- In the last outing, KJ Lewis led a trio in double figures to lead Georgetown past the visiting Binghamton Bearcats on Wednesday evening. Vince Iwuchukwu came off the bench to tally an efficient 17 points on 5-for-9 shooting and a 7-for-9 performance from the charity stripe and Malik Mack scored 13 points, all in the second half, on 5-for-11 shooting and a perfect 2-for-2 effort from the charity stripe.
- Lewis was named to the first BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll of the 2025-26 season following a 2-0 week for the Hoyas. Lewis led the squad tallying 15.0 ppg on 47.4% (9-19) shooting from the floor. He grabbed a squad-best 7.0 rpg while he dished out 2.0 apg and managed 2.0 spg.
- Last week, the Hoyas defeated the University of Maryland Terrapins, 70-60, on Friday night at XFINITY Center in College Park. Mack led a trio of Hoyas in double figures with 19 points on five made baskets, including three triples and a perfect 6-for-6 from the line, adding eight rebounds and two steals. Lewis followed with 16 points, nine rebounds, and three assists, while Caleb Williams notched his first double-double of the season with 14 points and a team-best 10 rebounds, also recording two blocks.
- A trio of Hoyas are scoring in double figures led by Lewis who is tallying 16.7 ppg, while Mack averages 14.3 ppg and Iwuchukwu manages 11.0 ppg.
- Lewis leads the Hoyas on the glass with 24 rebounds on the season, followed by Mack and Caleb Williams who have each collected 13 on the season.
- Jeremiah Williams paces the offense with 10 total assists, followed closely by Mack with seven and Lewis with five of his own.
- Last month, Lewis was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Second Team and Mack was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Third Team. The Hoyas were also selected sixth in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll.
ABOUT THE TIGERS
- Clemson enters the matchup with a 3-0 start to the 2025-26 season.
- The Tigers closed the 2024-25 season with a 27-7 record and a 18-2 mark in ACC action. Clemson wrapped up the season with a first-round loss to 12th-seeded McNeese, 69-67, in the NCAA Tournament.
- In its last outing, Clemson rolled past Morehead State 83–51 on Tuesday night in Littlejohn Coliseum. Jake Wahlin paced the Tigers with a season-high 14 points, while RJ Godfrey posted his first double-double of the year with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
- Ace Buckner leads a quintet of Tigers scoring in double figures with 13.7 ppg, followed by Godfrey (11.7), Nick Davidson (11.3), Wahlin (10.3) and Carter Welling (10.0).
- Godfrey has tallied 26 boards on 8.7 rpg in the first three contests of the season, which leads the team on the glass. Welling follows with 18 rebounds of his own on 6.0 rpg.
- Godfrey paces the Clemson offense with nine assists on the season while Buckner, Jestin Porter and Dillon Hunter are behind him with seven each.
- The Tigers are led by Head Coach Brad Brownell, who enters his 16th season at the helm.
ABOUT THE SERIES
- Georgetown and Clemson will meet for the second time in program history with the Hoyas holding the 1-0 edge in the series.
- The lone meeting between the two teams was December 23, 2004 with the Blue & Gray taking the 75-60 win at the Rainbow Classic in Hawaii. Brandon Bowman led a quartet of Hoyas in double figures with 22 points on 8-for-13 shooting, followed by Jeff Green (15), Jonathan Wallace (13) and Ashanti Cook (12). Green is still playing in the NBA, currently with the Houston Rockets.
- This will be Cooley's first career matchup against Clemson.
- The Hoyas hold a 174-153 record against the ACC while Cooley is 11-20 against the conference.
