Laila Jewett was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday after the Hoyas went 2-0 in nonconference play this past week. Georgetown is 5-2 on the season and has won its last four contests.

- Jewett averaged 14.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game as the Blue & Gray went 2-0.
- In the 94-67 win over Towson, Jewett hit five three-pointers to finish with 17 points and seven assists. The team set a new program record in that contest with 14 made triples.
- Earlier in the week, she scored 11 points and added four assists in the 93-57 victory over Elon.
- Jewett transferred to the Hilltop from the University of Central Florida, this is her first BIG EAST weekly honor and the second for the Hoyas this season.
