WASHINGTON (Nov. 20) -- Several members of the Georgetown University men's cross country team participated in the IC4A Cross Country Championship, held Saturday, November 18, at Van Cortlandt Park in New York. The Hoyas scored 144 points to garner fourth place. Penn State won the meet with 40 points, followed by Cornell in second place with 100 points. William & Mary was third (118 points), followed by GU in fourth place and Bucknell in fifth (256 points).
Isidro Pimentel (Sr., Jersey City, N.J./Henry Snyder) was the Hoyas top finisher on the day. Pimentel clocked 25:28.30 over the 10K course to claim the 18th spot. Tom Howell (Jr., Cary, N.C./Apex Senior) and Brad Stapleton (Sr., San Carlos, Calif./Junipero Serra) ran 24th and 25th with times of 25:37.20 and 25:39.30, respectively. Dylan Welsh's (So., Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs Senior) mark of 25:47.40 was good for 30th place, while Brad Barker (Fr., Omaha, Neb. Westside) was 64th in 26:34.20.
Mike Degennaro of Delaware won the race in 24:52.40.
