The Georgetown University women's track & field team opened the indoor portion of the 2000-2001 schedule at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., on Saturday, December 9. The meet was based on individual finishes rather than team scoring.

Kruppa's time of 16:37.90 was good for second place, with Enstice close behind in third place in 16:49.30. Ann McGranahan of Villanova won the 5000 in 16:30.10. Both times were ECAC-qualifying marks. Georgetown's 4 x 400-meter "B" squad of Monica Hargrove (Fr., New Haven, Conn./James Hillhouse), Kori Hamilton (Fr., Glendora, Calif./St. Lucy's Priory), Jill Laurendeau (So., Manchester, N.H./Manchester Central) and Jamillah Bowman (So., Ann Arbor, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) took third place in 3:51.60 (also an ECAC qualifying time).
