January 12, 2002 Washington, D.C.--The Georgetown women?s indoor track team competed at the Rutgers Invitational in Piscataway, N.J. on January 12 and posted an impressive seven first-place finishes. Dionna Jordan (Porstmouth, R.I./Portsmouth Abby) had a standout day for the Hoyas, finishing first in the 400 and 200 meter races and second in the 55 meter dash.
Monica Hargrove (New Haven, Conn./James Hillhouse) and Allison Snyder Hoeoye Falls, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) finished one and two in the 800 meter run, while Lorena Adams (Lakehurst, N.J.) placed first in the 3000 meter run in an ECAC qualifying time of 9:53.80. The Hoyas notched the top four spots in the 1000 meter run, with Heather Blackard (Kirkland, Wash./Juanita) finishing first in a time of 2:52.20. In the 4x400 relay, Georgetown?s A and B teams finished in first and second places, with times of 4:03.80 and 4:08.3, respectively.
The Hoyas also competed at the Father Diamond Invitational at George Mason on January 12, highlighted by first-place finishes by Janelle Billingslea (Juneau, Alaska/Coolidge) and Treniere Clement (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Monroe Falls) in the 500 and 1000 meter races. Erin Sicher (College Park, Md./Good Counsel) clinched the top spot in the mile with a time of 4:52.11, while teammate Emily Enstice (Potomac, Md./Georgetown Visitation) placed fourth. In the 400 meter dash, Jamillah Bowman (Ann Arbor, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) ran a time of 56.40 seconds, earning a second-place finish. In relay action, the Hoyas took the top spot in the 4x400 meter relay, and finished second in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 9:31.59.
