WATERLOO, Iowa ? The Georgetown women?s cross country program?s streak of 15-consecutive top 10 national finishes ended Monday as the team ran to a 16th place finish at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Waterloo, Iowa.
Senior Amanda Pape (Olathe, Kan./Olathe South) led the Hoyas with a 59th place overall finish for 44 points in the team scoring. NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Champion Treniere Clement (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Monroe Falls) placed second on the team and 103rd overall. Juniors Nicole Lee (Palos Verdes, Calif./Peninsula) and Jodee Adams-Moore (Bellevue, Wash./Newport) placed third and fourth on the team, and senior Colleen Kelly (Maple Glen, Pa./Mt. St. Joseph Academy) closed out the Georgetown scoring with 108 points.
North Carolina?s Shalane Flanagan won the individual title with a run of 19:30.4 over the 6,000m course. Stanford won the team championship with 120 points?8 points ahead of runner-up Brigham Young. The Hoyas tallied 417 points to secure 16th place. Pape paced the team with a time of 20:57.1.
