SACRAMENTO, CA - Rising junior Chris Lukezic (Auburn, Wash./Auburn) advanced in the 1500-meter run last night, Thursday, July 15, at the 2004 Olympic Track & Field Trials in Sacramento, Calif.  Lukiezic was one of 24 runners to move on to the semifinals, which will take place on Friday evening, July 16.

          Lukezic finished sixth in Heat 2 of the 1500 with a time of 3:47.31.  Alan Webb (Nike) was the winner in 3:47.10, followed by Aaron Lanzel of Navy with a mark of 3:47.11.

The top three finishers in each event at the Olympic Trials who have met the Olympic ?A? standard are named to the U.S. Olympic Team for Athens.
