Bumbalough and DeBole Makes Semifinals of Olympic Trials

Washington, D.C. - Two Georgetown student-athletes have continued their run in the 2008 Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore. Senior Matt Debole (Winston-Salem, N.C./Mount Tabor) and junior Andrew Bumbalough (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood Academy) are both competing in the 1500m run and both have advanced to the semifinal round of the trials.

By finishing in the top six of his heat, Bumbalough automatically qualified for the semifinals with a time of 3:45.49. DeBole also qualified for the semifinals with a time of 3:43.32, finishing ninth in his heat.

The men's semifinal will be held at 11:05 p.m. EST on Friday, July 4 and can be seen on cable channel USA. Coverage on USA starts at 11 p.m. EST.
