Oct. 19, 2015 WASHINGTON - No. 10/7 Georgetown University men's soccer players Arun Basuljevic (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) and JT Marcinkowski (Alamo, Calif./De La Salle) were both named BIG EAST Players of the Week on Monday. Basuljevic was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Marcinkowski was the Rookie of the Week.
Basuljevic earns his first BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season as he tied for league leader in points and goals this week while leading Georgetown to another undefeated slate. Basuljevic scored both game winners for the Hoyas. His goal in the 75th minute broke the scoreless tie on the road against DePaul University solidifying the Hoyas' 1-0 victory. On Wednesday, Basuljevic scored the eventual game winner in a 3-0 victory over Marquette University, sinking the ball past Marquette's Luis Barraza for a goal in the 47th minute.
This is Basuljevic's first BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week award this season and the first of his career. It is the third Offensive Player of the Week honor for the Hoyas in 2015.
