Sept. 11, 2017 WASHINGTON - Georgetown University men's soccer junior goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski (Alamo, Calif./De La Salle) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll the league office announced Monday afternoon. The No. 18 Hoyas are 4-0-1 on the season and have defeated two ranked opponents so far this year.
The junior played 200 minutes in a 1-0-1 week for the Hoyas with four saves, one in a 1-0 victory against then-No. 15 UCLA and three in a 1-1 draw on the road at Connecticut.
Macinkowski has played all 470 minutes for the Blue & Gray this year with 11 saves and three shutouts to his credit. He is boasting a BIG EAST-leading 0.38 GAA and a .846 save percentage.
This is his third career nod to the weekly honor roll and third award of the season. Georgetown has had three honor roll awards so far this year.
The Hoyas will continue their road swing at Xavier University on Saturday at 7 p.m., in both squads' BIG EAST Conference opener. The game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network and live stats will be available at www.GUHoyas.com.
