WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's golf team will compete in its third tournament in as many weeks when it travels to Connecticut for the Yale Invitational. The three-day, three-round tournament will begin on Friday morning at the par-71, 6,099-yard Yale Golf Course. A link for live scoring will be available at GUHoyas.com.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Hoyas turned in rounds of 303 and 308, placing ninth at the Princeton Invitational with a 36-hole score of 35-over par 611.
- Freshman Lauren May was GU's top finisher at 7-over par 151, tying for 23rd overall, while senior Ashley Fitzgibbons turned in a 9-over par 153 to finish in a tie for 35th.
HOYAS LINEUP
- Head Coach Kate Schanuel will send out a lineup this weekend that features three freshmen and two seniors.
- May has been GU's top finisher in two of the three tournaments this year, and has a team-high 76.13 stroke average through eight rounds of play.
- Fitzgibbons is coming off her best finish of the fall last weekend, including a season-best score of 75 in the first round.
- Freshman Dana Choi ranks third on the squad with a 78.25 stroke average and is coming off an 11-over par 155 at Princeton last weekend.
- Senior Kate Evanko carded a 13-over par 157 as an individual last weekend.
- Freshman Esther Park was Georgetown's top finisher at the Nittany Lion Invitational and is second on the team with a 77.75 stroke average.
- Additionally, freshman Elena Zheng will make her collegiate debut playing as an individual.
ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT
- The Hoyas will be a part of a 14-team field that includes Boston College, Boston University, Charlotte, Columbia, Delaware, Hartford, Harvard, Pennsylvania, Princeton, Quinnipiac, Stirling, Xavier and Yale.
- Teams will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, playing 18 holes each day. Sunday's final round will begin at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.

Following this weekend's action at Yale, the Blue & Gray will wrap up the fall portion of the schedule at the Blue Hen Invitational, hosted by the University of Delaware, the weekend of Oct. 19-20.
