How it Happened
- The Hoyas jumped out to a 5-0 lead on a 3-pointer from sophomore Nikola Kovacikova and a layup from senior Anita Kelava.
- Georgetown tried to slow the pace with a short bench due to illness and managed to turn defensive stops into offense as the Blue & Gray took the 12-4 lead on layup from Kelava off of the Pirate turnover.
- GU held on late in the quarter and led 16-12 at the end of the first.
- Georgetown had contributions from everyone as the Blue & Gray clung to the small advantage in the second half.
- Kovacikova was the spark with her first-career double-double and hitting the milestone after just 20 minutes of play with 12 points and 10 rebounds as the Hoyas and Pirates went into the half tied at 25.
- The Pirates took the lead in the second half, but the Hoyas managed to keep it close.
- When GU trailed by eight, it was sophomore Cassandra Gordon who came up with a big 3-pointer.
- In the third stanza, the Hoyas were outscored 21-9 as the squad trailed by 12 at the end of the period.
- The Hoyas never found the answer in the final quarter as the squad ran out of juice eventually falling 61-47.
Of Note

- Georgetown shot 27 percent from the field hitting 18-of-66 shots, while Seton Hall was 34 percent hitting 21-of-62 shots.
