EAST MEADOW, N.Y. – The Georgetown University swimming & diving team had a great start to the 2020 BIG EAST Championships, presented by Jeep on Wednesday evening at the Nassau County Aquatic Center.
Riley Fujioka won her first career individual title in the women's 1-meter dive, while the Hoya men blew past the program record in the 200-yard medley relay.
TEAM RANKINGS
- Georgetown's women hold a 15-point lead in the team standings, accumulating 136 points on the first night. They lead Villanova (121) by 15 points and have healthy leads over Seton Hall (79), Xavier (68) and Providence (67). Butler (54) rounds out the standings.
- On the men's side, the Hoyas are tied with Villanova for first place with 70 points. Seton Hall (68) is right behind in third while Xavier (64) and Providence (56) are fourth and fifth, respectively.

The BIG EAST Championships will continue on Wednesday with the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard IM, 50-yard freestyle, men's 3-meter diving and 200-yard freestyle relay.
