Georgetown Selects 2020-21 SAAC Executive Board

WASHINGTON – Georgetown's University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) announced its executive board for the upcoming 2020-21 school year. The board features five student-athletes who will serve as the voices of the Georgetown student-athlete community.  
 
"These student-athletes were selected by a vote of their peers," said Dr. Maya Ozery, Executive Director of the Cooper Athletics Leadership Program. "It's a real vote of confidence in their ability to build on the momentum SAAC has built this year and lead SAAC forward. Each of these students is passionate about the role SAAC can have in representing a diverse Hoya student-athlete body, and I am confident they will work hard to engage their peers and represent their needs and interests."
 
PRESIDENT - MARY PAGANO, WOMEN'S LACROSSE
  • Served as SAAC vice president during 2019-20 academic year.
  • Is a human science major in the School of Nursing
  • A starting midfielder on the women's lacrosse squad after playing significant minutes her first two seasons
 
VICE PRESIDENT – JESSICA CUSI – VOLLEYBALL
  • Has played in every match of her career (61)
  • Led the Hoyas in digs with 431 (3.53 dps) as a sophomore
  • On pace to become just the 11th Hoya in program history with 1,000 career digs
 
VICE PRESIDENT – SEAN DEVLIN – MEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING
  • Eight-time All-BIG EAST selection in his two years, including in five events as a sophomore.
  • Won gold and set a Georgetown record in the 100-yard freestyle at the 2020 BIG EAST Championships.
  • Was part of four medal-winning relay teams, including swimming anchor on three of them.
 
BIG EAST REPRESENTATIVE – SARI CURETON, WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
  • Also served as Georgetown's BIG EAST Representative last year.
  • An international politics major in the School of Foreign Service with a minor in Spanish
  • Has represented Georgetown on a number of BIG EAST and NCAA committees
 
BIG EAST REPRESENTATIVE – TRISTAN FORSYTHE, MEN'S TRACK & FIELD
  • Also served as Georgetown's BIG EAST Representative last year.
  • Undeclared business major in the McDonough School of Business
  • Part of the distance medley relay team that finished in second place at the 2020 BIG EAST Indoor Championships
