Daniel Wu was named the Defensive Player of the Week, while junior
Marlon Tabora earned Offensive Player of the Week honors. Additionally, junior
Ryan Schewe was named the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week. It marked the fifth-consecutive weekly nod for the Blue & Gray.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
- Entering the week tied for first in the BIG EAST standings with 13 points alongside Xavier and Seton Hall, Wu anchored Georgetown to back-to-back shutout wins over the Musketeers and Pirates.
- As a result, the Hoyas secured the top-seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Championship on Nov. 10 at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Md.
- Overall, Wu and his teammates limited Xavier and Seton Hall to 13 combined shots on goal and just three corner kicks in 180 minutes of action.
- This is the first weekly award of the season for Wu after earning a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on 9/26. It is also the second of his career.
- Georgetown has now had consecutive defensive honors with sophomore Kieran Sargeant earning the nod the week prior.

BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
- In a perfect 2-0 week, Tabora led a Georgetown offense that tallied five goals in a pair of outings against Seton Hall and ninth-ranked Xavier.
- Individually, Tabora registered four points on a goal and two assists, as the Hoyas locked up the No. 1 seed in the 2022 BIG EAST Championship presented by Jeep.
- On Wednesday against the Pirates, Tabora opened the scoring with a tally in the 31st minute, giving Georgetown the 1-0 halftime advantage. With less than seven minutes remaining in regulation, Tabora put the game away when he sent a flick pass into space toward Jacob Murrell, who doubled the Hoyas' lead.
- On Saturday against No. 9 Xavier, Tabora slipped a pass through to Jack Panayotou, who tallied the second goal in the Hoyas' 3-0 win.
- Overall, Tabora ranks second in the BIG EAST with 11 points (4g, 3a) in eight conference matches. He leads the Hoyas with 16 points on five goals and six assists for the season.
- This is his second offensive award of the season after earning it on 10/10 and the second of his career.

BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
- Acting as a brick wall in goal for Georgetown, Schewe improved to 7-0-1 on the year, since taking over as the Hoyas' starter on Sept. 24 against Creighton.
- Playing all 180 minutes in a pair of shutout wins over Seton Hall and No. 9 Xavier, Schewe posted a 0.0 GAA, while corralling all 13 saves sent his way for a perfect 1.000 save percentage.
- In seven conference games, Schewe leads the BIG EAST with a 0.838 save percentage, ranks third in save per game (4.43) and sits in second in goals against average (0.86).
- This is the first weekly award of his career after earning a nod to the honor roll on 10/3.
