WASHINGTON - Joshua Tomas and Pierce Holley became single-season program leaders with their performances on Saturday as the Georgetown University football team fell to No. 6 Holy Cross 47-10 at Cooper Field.

HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
- Tomas finished the day with 12 catches and 82 receiving yards to go along with a touchdown. The Hoya wideout finished the year with 100 receptions, becoming the first player to hit the century mark. The Illinois native also posted 1,231 receiving yards this season, surpassing Luke McArdle for most in a single campaign.
- Pierce Holley set single-season marks in pass attempts (442) and passing yards (2,882) after completing 29 of 48 passes for 261 yards and a touchdown. Holley passed Kyle Nolan (397) in attempts and J.J. Mont (2,712) in passing yards.Â
- Quincy Chinwuko had a pair of sacks, forcing 11 yards of loss on the Crusaders.
- Jimmy Kibble and Cameron Crayton also posted more than 50 receiving yards on the afternoon, registering 61 and 55, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Holy Cross went up 14-0 in the opening frame behind a rushing and a throwing touchdown.
- Holley connected with Tomas for a five-yard score, capping off a 15-play, 88-yard drive at the end of the first (14-7).
- The Crusaders found the end zone two more times in the second before Patrick Ryan booted a 29-yard field goal to cut the deficit to 27-10. HC went on to score one more time before halftime to take a 34-10 lead.
- Holy Cross held the Hoyas off the board in the second half, knocking off the home team 47-10 and earning the Patriot League Championship outright.
