WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's women's rowing program opened their fall season Sunday morning with the Navy Day Regatta. The Hoyas finished second in the Collegiate 4+ and sixth in the 8+.

The Hoya's A boat had the fastest time in the Collegiate 4+ race, but were penalized alongside 11 other teams 1' for taking the wrong arch, moving them down to second.

Navy Day Regatta Results:

• The Hoyas raced three boats in the Collegiate 4+ race, with all three entries finishing in the top ten. The Georgetown A boat finished in second place with a 15:32.57 time. The B and C boats finished eighth and ninth, with times of 16:10.28 and 16:11.7.
• In the Collegiate 8+ Race, the Hoyas mixed their top 16 rowers across two boats evenly and both saw strong results in their field. TheGeorgetown A boat finished sixth with a 13:59.81. Right behind them was the boat, finishing seventh in 14:04.42.
• The Collegiate JV 8+ Georgetown boat finished fifth with a time of 15:14.34.
