The Hoyas Fight Back in Overtime to Capture 50-47 Victory Over Bucknell

WASHINGTON – The Hoyas tied the contest in the final two minutes of the game to capture a 50-47 victory in overtime. The Georgetown University football team is now 5-5 overall and 3-2 in conference play while Bucknell falls to 3-7 overall and 1-5 in Patriot League play.

ON THE RECORD
"I give Bucknell a lot of credit for coming back from being down two scores. I love this group, they totally showed SISU tonight. When we went down seven at the end of the fourth, the kids rallied to tie the game and kept the energy up through overtime. It was in no way a perfect ball game for us but the coaches and kids really stuck together. We are excited to get ready to go up to Holy Cross and finish out the Patriot League schedule and play an extremely important game here in November. I am so proud of the kids and this was a great win for our program." - said Head Coach Rob Sgarlata on the win.
