WASHINGTON – Three members of the Georgetown University men's soccer team were named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District, as announced by the organization on Tuesday. Seniors
Ryan Schewe and
Trevor Burns along with junior
Blaine Mabie each earned the accolade.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District consideration, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's contests played or must start in at least 66 percent of the games. Teams are limited to six nominees.

- Burns appeared in all 19 games for the Hoyas with eight starts to his credit.
- He tallied three assists for the season.
- Burns is a finance major.

- Schewe was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year and was a First Team All-BIG EAST selection.
- The goalkeeper started all 14 games he appeared in this season.
- The senior had a record of 9-2-3 with five shutouts on the year.
- He boasted a 0.84 goals-against average and a 0.707 save percentage.
- The goalkeeper had 29 saves this season.
- He was the Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year and a Preseason All-BIG EAST selection in August.
- It was his second-career honor on the Hilltop after being named to the second team a season ago.
- Schewe is a finance major.
