WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's basketball team fell 82-53 to the No. 15/18 Villanova University Wildcats on Wednesday evening in a BIG EAST Conference matchup at McDonough Arena in GU's annual Play4Kay game. How it Happened

  • The Blue & Gray battled early in the second, but every bucket was matched by the 'Cats as Villanova continued to build the lead to as much as 24.
  • The points would be few for the Hoyas as GU trailed 43-16 at the break.
  • VU took the 30-point lead at the 6:35 mark in the third, but Georgetown would not go away as graduate student Kristina Moore hit back-to-back 3-pointers.
  • The Hoyas could not put a run together as GU was down 63-37 at the end of the third period.
  • The comeback would never come for the Blue & Gray as Georgetown eventually fell 82-53.
