WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's field hockey team dropped its season finale 3-1 on the road at Old Dominion on Friday afternoon in BIG EAST action. With the loss, the Hoyas fall to 5-12 overall and 1-6 in league play while the Monarchs improve to 8-9 overall and 5-2 in conference action.
Ellie Johnson scored the lone goal for the Hoyas, scoring in the 52nd minute. Both Johnson and
Sydney Yodh had a pair of shots on the day.
Ella Fahey had six saves for the Blue & Gray between the pipes.
Amelie Zielcke had two goals and an assist to lead the Monarchs. Siam Emslie added a goal and an assist in the win.
The Hoyas snapped a five-game scoreless streak against Old Dominion, dating back to the 2018 season.
Georgetown's five wins in 2025 were the most in a season since the 2021 campaign.
