WASHINGTON - Georgetown University's women's Lightweight rowing team finished competition on Saturday morning at the Head of the Occoquan in Fairfax Station, Virginia. The Hoyas had a boat in the Collegiate Varsity 8+, Collegiate JV 8+, and the Collegiate Varsity 4+.
Varsity Lightweight Coach Abbey Piage
"Our fall season came to an end this weekend at the Head of the Occoquan with some strong racing across the board. We were happy to close out our racing block with a first and second place finish in the eights events, and enjoyed cheering on a competitive fourth place showing by our mixed senior/freshmen four that had never practiced together before race day. All in all, we are very pleased with the progress we have seen in the team this fall and look forward to some continued growth as we begin winter training. "
