WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's and women's tennis teams will open their Spring 2026 campaigns with a three-match weekend. The men's team will head to Richmond, Virginia on Friday to face VCU at 2 p.m. in its season opener. After that, they will travel to compete against the Old Dominion Monarchs on Saturday at 10 a.m. The women wrap up the weekend by kicking off their season against cross-town foe Maryland on Sunday at 11 a.m. inside the Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park, Maryland.

About Georgetown Men's Tennis

• Georgetown went 9-13 overall in the Spring 2025 season, including a 3-4 mark in BIG EAST play.
• In the fall, the Blue & Gray competed in four events between September and November.
• All-BIG EAST Second Team selection Arthur O'Sullivan returns after leading the squad with 16 doubles victories last season.
• Freshman Joshua Lamm-Bocharov picked up his first career singles wins at the ITA Atlantic Regionals in Blacksburg, Virginia on October 9-11. The Pennsylvania native closed out regionals with a 2-1 singles record with wins in the qualifying and consolation events.

 
 
About Georgetown Women's Tennis

• The women's team is coming off a spring season that saw them finish with an 8-11 record, including a 4-5 mark in conference action.
• In its fall season, Georgetown competed in four events from September 19 to October 21.
• The Hoyas return Emily Novikov, who earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors for the second consecutive season after posting an 11-6 singles record last spring.
• Freshmen Julia Chu and Ruhika Bhat each secured their first career singles and doubles victories over the course of the fall season. Chu finished with a 3-1 record at the ITA Atlantic Regionals with wins in the qualifying and consolation brackets.
