WASHINGTON - Georgetown University's men's tennis team dropped a closely contested match to the Creighton University Bluejays on Tuesday, falling 4-3 at the Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park, Maryland. With the loss, the Hoyas fall to 1-11 on the season and 0-1 in BIG EAST competition.
The Hoyas dropped the doubles point with the duo of
Arthur O'Sullivan and
Cyrus Zia capturing the team's lone victory in No. 1 doubles, winning 6-2. However, GU secured three singles points from
James O'Sullivan,
Joshua Lamm-Bocharov, and
Sahil Morey.
J. O'Sullivan battled in a tight three-set No. 2 singles match against Creighton's Kirtan Patel, winning 6-3, 6-7 (6-8), 6-3. Lamm-Bocharov and Morey won their matches over Zachary Kuo and Rocky McKenzie in straight sets on the No. 3 and No. 5 singles courts.
