Men's Tennis Heads to William & Mary; Women Set to Face GW and George Mason

WASHINGTON - Georgetown University's men's and women's tennis teams will kick off a trio of midweek matches on Tuesday when the men travel to Williamsburg, Virginia for a match against William & Mary. Women's tennis continues the action on Wednesday with a match against crosstown rival George Washington University before facing off against George Mason University on Thursday.

About Georgetown Women's Tennis
  • The Hoyas (2-6, 1-1 BE) are coming off a 4-0 loss to VCU on Friday and a 5-2 loss to the University of Delaware on Saturday.
  • Julia Chu and Ruhika Bhat scored the Hoyas' two singles points in the loss to Delaware.
  • Chu defeated Paulina Jurkowska  6-2, 4-6, 7-5, improving her singles record to 5-2, including a 2-0 mark in BIG EAST play.
  • Bhat picked up a victory over Navya Vadlamudi, winning  6-7 (0-3), 7-6 (4-0), 10-6 to move to 5-3
 
About Georgetown Men's Tennis
  • The Hoyas dropped to 1-4 on the season after falling 5-2 to Bucknell on Friday and 7-0 to Penn State on Saturday.
  • J. O'Sullivan went undefeated in Georgetown's 5-2 loss to the University of Delaware. The sophomore scored GU's lone singles point while also winning his doubles match alongside Joshua Lamm-Bocharov to help secure the doubles point for the Hoyas.
  • Arthur O'Sullivan and Cyrus Zia won 6-4 in their No. 1 doubles match against Euan Mackenzie and Tobey Lock
